Terms of service

Selit is a platform that lets sellers in Ghana create an online store and accept orders. We provide the software. We are not the seller of the goods listed on any store, and we do not own, inspect or hold stock.

You must be at least 18 years old to open a seller account. Keep your login details private — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Give accurate store, contact and payout information and keep it up to date.

As a seller you are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, the quality and legality of what you sell, honouring the prices you publish, delivering within the time you promise, and handling refunds and returns under your stated policy.

You must comply with Ghanaian law, including consumer protection rules and any licensing your trade requires (for example food handling or cosmetics).

You may not list: illegal drugs, weapons or ammunition, counterfeit goods, stolen property, live animals, prescription medicines, human remains or body parts, pornographic material, unregistered financial or investment products, or anything whose sale is restricted under Ghanaian law.

We may remove listings, suspend a store or close an account for breaches, with notice where reasonably possible.

A contract of sale is between the buyer and the seller, not with Selit. Payments are processed through licensed mobile money and payment partners. We deduct our commission and queue the balance to the seller's payout account.

Give correct delivery details and a phone number the seller can reach. Ordering creates a binding order once payment is confirmed, subject to the seller's returns policy and your rights under Ghanaian consumer law.

We provide the platform "as is". We are not liable for the acts of sellers or buyers, for goods that are faulty, late or not as described, or for losses caused by network, mobile money or delivery failures outside our control. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You can close your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or close an account for fraud, repeated customer complaints, unlawful listings or non-payment of amounts owed. Money properly due to you for completed orders will still be paid out.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.

You keep ownership of content you upload, but give Selit permission to host, display, and resize it as needed to operate and promote your store. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use. Selit's name, software, and design remain our property.

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. We will publish the revised version here with a new date. Questions about these terms: legal@selit.app.
